Weathering Clinic follow up, New Product, Walthers Update!

Thank you to everyone who made our Weathering Clinic on Saturday such a success! We had a great time hosting you and had a larger turnout than we had hoped for. A BIG thanks also to Kadee, Tangent & Horizon Hobby for donating the cars for this clinic. Below are pictures of those who won the cars that were weathered during the clinic, we also raffled off a starter set of Pan Pastels. In the past week or so we have had several new items come into our store. Check out Athearns latest release of BNSF GP7U in the Prime for Grime Series in three distinctive Road number specific versions. All of these locomotives are former Santa Fe engines. On the Santa Fe a 'U' was given to locomotives that were rebuilt instead of an 'R'. Comes in both DCC Ready & DCC+Sound.

Also out from Athearn are the Chicago Northwestern GP9R Rebuilds by the C&NW, features the late C&NW Colors. The C&NW began a rebuild program in 1971 for their GP7's and GP9's. An 'R' was added to distinguish that these locomotives had gone through the program. DCC Ready & DCC+Sound available.

Burlington Northern's F7 for MOW Service by Athearn Genesis. These locomotives were primarily used in snow service and occasionally on work trains.

From Atlas Trains, Classic Series, HO Scale RS11 Locomotives. Comes DCC Ready & with DCC+Sound versions.

Spokane, Portland & Seattle F3 NEW run from Athearn Trains in the Genesis series. come check out this popular Northwest Railroad.

Weathering Clinic, this Saturday @ 9am

Are you attending our Weathering Clinic this Saturday? Come see how to weather your engines and cars to look like they have been on the road for years. You will even get a chance to take home one of the cars weathered during the clinic!

In preparation for this clinic we have stocked up on our weathering supplies. Pick up something new to experiment with and work on perfecting or fine tuning you're own technique.

If your planning on coming please give us a call so we can put you down on our list. The Clinic starts at 9AM and will last about 1-2 Hours.

Please keep in mind that while the Clinic will be starting at 9AM we are not opening early, ie. we will not be open for business until 10AM (normal business hours).

National Model Railroad Month is here!

It's the official start of the Holiday season and we have a lot going on this month!

November is National Model Railroad Month. As they have done in previous years both the Columbia George Model Railroad Club and the Mt.Hood Model Engineers will be hosting the public during the weekends for their annual Holiday Open House(s) starting November 3rd. Speaking of the Weathering Demo, we have had a LOT of interest in this event. Previously we were hoping for maybe 10 people but it looks like there may be more than that who plan on attending. If you do plan on attending the Demo please give us a call or let us know when you are in the store so we know how many people to expect.
